His answer was... We're not there yet.
But AI is already starting to behave differently.
Instead of being told exactly what experiments to run, it can explore dozens of possibilities, reject most of them, and investigate the promising ones further.
And the biggest change is... You don't always need to code the search process anymore. You can just describe what you want.
