Telegram Launching .Gram Domain soon!
The messaging platform Telegram is introducing a major Web3 feature for its users:
'.gram' domains. On August 18, Telegram founder Pavel Durov announced on X that they have applied to ICANN for their own .gram top-level domain.
The main goal is to convert users' in-app identities directly into web addresses.
If approved, users can get second-level domains like yourname.gram based on their usernames.
Additionally, users will be able to create interactive websites on Telegram's hosting using just a simple prompt.
This allows users to build their own digital identity right within the Telegram ecosystem. Telegram currently has over 1 billion users.
However, it is not yet confirmed whether everyone will get this domain automatically or for free once it launches.
